Shane Carr is a Senior Education Liaison for FosterEd Arizona as a part of the Compassionate Education Systems team at the National Center for Youth Law. Located in Yavapai County, Shane's work focuses on providing educational support to students in the foster care system. Shane is dedicated to advocating for youth in foster care and working to create a reality where all youth graduate from high school with the widest array of possibilities for their future. 

Shane has more than 17 years of experience working in the social work field with previous positions with the Arizona Department of Child Safety, as a Drop-Out Prevention Specialist, and as a district Social Worker. Shane earned a bachelor's in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside after serving in the U.S. Army. 

Originally from Wisconsin, Shane has lived in Arizona since 2006.  He loves all outdoor activities and has been a long distance runner for 38 years having completed 10 marathons as of 2023.
