Leticia Ruelas

Leticia Ruelas is an Education Liaison with Compassionate Education Systems at the National Center for Youth Law.  Leticia provides direct service to youth and their education teams, working to resolve any barriers to an equitable education.  She meets with students directly and supports them in achieving their education goals and dreams for their future. 

Leticia has more than 30 years of experience working in the public school system.  She is a certified teacher and former school administrator.  She has taught all grades from first through eighth.  She also worked at the school district level as an academic coach and content specialist where she developed and facilitated training for teachers. 

Originally from Arizona, Leticia has lived in the Southwest her whole life.  She loves to spend time with her large, extended family.  She has a passion for interior design.
