The Antelope Valley (AV) is the northernmost part of Los Angeles County, spanning approximately 2,200 square miles. The largest cities represented in the AV are Lancaster and Palmdale. While it is a part of Los Angeles County, due to its geographic location, the resources are limited and not as abundant as they are in the other areas of LA County. A need for resources and support was clearly identified.

Compassionate Education Systems (Formerly known as FosterEd) launched a demonstration site in the Antelope Valley in 2018 to begin supporting students in the 2018-2019 school year. The program concluded in 2025.
