Centering Youth, Supporting Families
Supporting parents, respecting youth, and building thriving families that reflect real life
Parents and families are the foundation of children’s development. With love, stability, and support, young people grow into their full, authentic selves. Every parent and family deserves respect and the freedom to raise children in a safe, caring environment—free from discrimination or unnecessary intrusion.
Families come in many forms, but what defines them is care. Children and youth need guidance, boundaries, and the space to explore who they are, build confidence, and grow into independent adults within their own families and communities.
Young people are individuals with their own identities, dreams, and futures. They deserve meaningful access to education, information, and supportive environments that help them learn about themselves, their communities, and the world, and make informed decisions about their lives. As they develop, their voices and choices deserve to be respected.
We believe supporting parents and respecting young people go hand in hand. Through advocacy, policy, and education, we work to protect the rights and well-being of both parents and youth, ensuring all families have the support they need to thrive,, while opposing harmful policies that put them at risk.
What we advocate for:
- The rights of children to be with their parents and families in their own community
- Supports that contribute to safe and stable home and community environments for children
- Safe, inclusive, and supportive schools for all children
- Access to essential health care and information
- Respect for youth voice
- Limiting dangerous and unnecessary government intrusion
