Ensure Education Equity, Inclusion And Civil Rights For Students
NCYL brings impact litigation to challenge students’ civil rights violations and champions equity and inclusion in schools throughout the country through policy advocacy and collaborations.
Students have the right to equitable access to educational resources and safe, supportive, non discriminatory learning environments. No matter where they live, no matter their personal history, no matter their individual needs, they have the right to a full education. NCYL has litigated violations of students’ education civil rights based on race, sex and disability for decades.
We also work on policy advocacy, research and community collaborations and more to advance and expand education equity, inclusion and civil rights to ensure that every student has a supportive learning environment that will allow them to achieve the future they envision for themselves.
