Apply to the CSEC Action Team Advisory Board

The CSEC Action Team’s Advisory Board is a unique resource. Local agencies, counties, community-based organizations can consult and collaborate with the lived-experience experts of the Advisory Board to create policies at every stage from conception, development, planning and implementation.

Members of the Advisory Board are tasked with providing leadership and consultation to the Action Team, governmental agencies, community-based organizations and other stakeholders regarding how to improve state and local policy for children and youth who have been impacted by CSEC.

Commitment

  • Participate in entire term: Spring 2024-December 2024
  • Attend quarterly meetings (4 per year) — virtually until further notice, in person when safe to do so
  • Up to 10 hours per month on workgroup or policy projects in between quarterly meetings

Program Benefits

  • $75 per hour for pre-approved consulting time
  • $250 per day for consulting activities scheduled for more than 3 hours
  • Travel, accommodations, and meals for AB activities
  • Professional development opportunities, such as trainings, conference attendance, and one-on-one coaching

Program Requirements

  • Live in California
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have experienced CSE / trafficking as a child
  • Be at least three years removed from exploitation
  • Survivors of all ages, races/ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, and disability statuses are encouraged to apply
