Former NCYL Board Member Janet Fink is Deputy Counsel with the New York State Unified Court System in New York City.
Former law clerk Franchesca Gonzalez has started work as a staff attorney for the El Centro Office of California Rural Legal Assistance (CRLA). Franchesca is awaiting Bar results but delighted to be working for CRLA. El Centro is the county seat of Imperial County near the Mexican/California border.
Former NCYL law clerk Caroline Jacobs and her husband Michael Lawless have announced the birth of a son, Jameson Jacobs Lawless. Jameson was born June 26 at 5 lbs., 10 oz., and 19.5 inches long. (See photo).
Meghan Lang and husband, Ron Levi, have announced the birth of their second child, a daughter, Hazel Mairghread Levi-Lang. Hazel was born on June 19 at 7 lbs., 1 oz., and 21 inches long. (See photo). Meghan and Ron have a son, Connor, 3. Meghan was a law clerk at NCYL in 2001 and Equal Justice Works Fellow from 2002-04, where she directed NCYL’s Juvenile Mental Health Court Project. She is now with the San Francisco firm of Rosen, Bien & Galvan.
Camilla Roberson, a summer law clerk in 2002, is a staff attorney with the Public Justice Center in Baltimore, MD. The Center is part of the Just Kids Partnership (together with Community Law in Action, Inc., and United Parents of Incarcerated Children and Youth), which just released a report: Get Tough-On-Crime Policies Not Working for Youth Charged as Adults.
