Sarah Jimenez is the Communications Director at the National Center for Youth Law and leads the organization’s marketing and strategic communications efforts to advance justice for and in partnership with young people. She works with internal and external teams to develop values-based, human-centered messaging, shift harmful narratives that act as a barrier to systems change, and create a shared understanding among diverse audiences about solutions that work for young people and their communities.

Jimenez has more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of communications and public policy, and previously worked for organizations including the California Budget & Policy Center, Paschal Roth Public Affairs, the County Welfare Directors Association of California, and the California State Association of Counties. She started her career as a journalist in California’s Central Valley. 

She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in print journalism and gender studies from the University of Southern California and serves on the La Familia Counseling Center board in Sacramento, California.
